Temple Thursday
I didn't feel like putting Stone Temple Pilot lyrics on my blog today. So here is a picture of STP in a red room, with Weiland wearing white pants. Since I don't have a picture of Baz in a red room, here is a picture of Baz in a white suit. Have a great Thursday.

Little Bug
I don't have much to say. How could I feel like blogging with out my Aunt Susie around. She is off in Seattle, having fun without me. I must carry on... must... find the will... to blog...
Baz and I go to the library on Mondays because they have book readings and activities for kids. Monday was Bug Day at the library. Baz decorated this rock to look like a "Manly Bug", not to be mistaken with the familiar "Lady Bug". I helped a little of course, how could I resist.

Temple Thursday
Baz is trying to be like Scott Weiland (shirtless guy in picture below)
Another great Stone Temple Pilots song:
Meatplow
Fine place for a day full of breakdowns
Takes more than a meltdown to show us how
Throw a tak on the raod stop the meatplow
Got a bullet but it ain't mine
They got these pictures of everything
To break us down , yea to break me down
They make us hate and we make it bleed
But I got a lover and she shows me how
To understand, yeah to understand
I got a brother and well he shows me how,
To make amends yeah to make amends with it.
Take a break from this mousetrap we call home,
Takes more than a message to make me smile
I can feel when she kisses me sleeping
But not when the news is on.

In The Wild
Someone help Baz! He is being attacked by wild animals! Oh no! I think we have to many stuffed animals. Darn Beanie Babies are too cute! I got sucked into collecting thoses things once a few years back, along with so many unsuspecting people. You buy them because they are so cute, and before you know it, you want them ALL!

Devil Ducky
I have been seeing these little devil duckies everywhere lately, on the internet and on T.V. shows. I finally found one in a toy store at Universal City Walk. He even came with a little song.
Devil Duckie you're the one,
you make bathe time lots of fun,
Devil Duckie I'm awfully dirty today.
Devil Ducky, when you float,
It's like I'm bathing in a moat!
Devil duckie, you're my very best friend, hooray!
Every day when I make my way to get clean
I find a little fella who's red and yellow and mean
Devil Duckie, you're so swell,
you guide me on the path to h**l,
Devil Duckie, I'm awfully dirty -
Devil Ducky, you're a naughty birdy -
Devil Duckie, I'm awfully dirty today.
I know it's a bit blasphemous, but it is cute too.

Universal City Walk
Our little family spent Saturday at Universal City Walk. The only bummer is that City Walk is right next to Universal Studios, and you get to see inside the amusement park as you walk by. It makes you wish you were going into Universal Studios instead of going to City Walk. Regardless of the heat, it was still oodles of fun.
Here is little Baz playing in the water fountains.

Top Five Movie Scenes
Mr. Ratburn requested a list of your top 5 movie scene of the summer. Here is mine. You can also go check out Art's list too.
"Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas". The trip on the way to vegas.
"Napoleon Dynamite". Dance scene. He can really get down.
"Brokeback Mountain". Kiss scene.
"Matrix:Revolutions". Final fight scene between Neo and Mr. Smith
"Devils Advocate". The scene where Keanu shoots himself in the head. I couldn't find a pic of it though. I guess it is too violent.

55 Flash Fiction Friday
Here is another attempt at 55 Flash Fiction Friday.
Little fish swimming in the water. One daring fish strayed from the school, searching for a bug floating along the surface of the water. Suddenly, he spots a worm. Is it too good to be true? He swims up toward the wiggling creature and wraps his fish lips around it. It was a darn fisherman.
Here is a pic of Baz being cute.

Temple Thursday
Here is a picture of Baz and Mommy beeeee-ing silly. Watch out Baz! I am coming to get you! Buzzzzzzz.
I love STP, even though they are long gone. I love the dark sided perspective that they have on life. It inspires me to write about things I wouldn't have thought of on my own. Since I can't post my unpublished writings for fear that they will be plagerized, I must resort to STP lyrics instead. The inspiration for many of my poems.
For years, I didn't know what the song meant, so I didn't like it. Then I tried to look at it poeticly, and I understood. Now it is one of my favs.
Silver Gun Superman
Find you in the dark,
Read you like a cheap suprise
Without shame
Sell me out and frame your name
I can hear when the pig whispers sweetly
Jealousy is the waepon you kill me.
Keep a dime for a truth you might tell
You towed the line, and I know it was mine,
Couldn't hide, write a wave, ride a lie
Let me know, can I friend ask you why?
Rolling back the days,
With my friend I love to play
The little one
Superman with silver gun
Wait for me, take a dime take a piece of my life
Wait for me, tell a lie try to take my wife,
Wait for me, take a dive take a piece of my life
Close to me, and I'll leave you numb.

Swimming in the water
My Little Fishy
Here is picture of mommy and little Baz. Today was his third swim class session. He looks upset in this picture, but it is just the sun in his eyes. He takes to the pool like a fish. Well he is an Aquarious, so naturally he loves the water. I just worry about getting into the pool with so many other children in it all day long. What are we swimming in? Boogers, Saliva maybe. I don't want to know. I just hope there is an adaquate amount of chlorine in that water!

Temple Thursday
When Art and I were teenagers, we both agreed that this was our song. it was so sweet and embodied all the feelings that we had for eachother when we first started dating.
We loved the line that said "if you should die before me, ask if you could bring a friend". We both said we would want eachother to do that.
Still Remains
Our bed we live, our bed we sleep
Making love and I become you,
Flesh is warm with naked feet
Stabbing thorns and you become me.
Oh, I'd beg for you, you know I'll beg for you
She holds my hand, we share a laugh,
Sipping orange blossom breeezes
Love is still and sweat remains
A cherished gift unselfish feelings
Oh I'd beg for you, oh, you know I'll beg for you
She tells me things I listen well
Drink the wine, and save the water
Skin in smooth, I steal a glance
Dragon flies 'er glowing over
Pick a song and sing a yellow nectarine
Take a bath I'll drink the water that you leave
If you should die before me , ask if you could bring a friend
Pick a flower, hold your breath and drift away

Kids programming
I try not to let my son watch television that much, but he is at that age where he is really noticing what is on TV. I like to give him a taste of eucational childrens programming, but then he starts to crave it. I let him watch Teletubied a few times, and now he cries for it. He carries around his baby einstein DVD saying Dun dun (like einstein) crying for me to put it on.

A Day in the Park
Our little family decided to go to Griffith Park in Los Angeles on Sunday. We took Baz on the pony ride, the train ride and the carousel. We went to the park and then to Travel Town Museum to ride the miniature train. It was soooo much fun. It is amazing how much more fun you can have with your children, than when you did things before you had children.

Invisalign
I just got invisalign a couple weeks ago. I have always wanted braces, and I never got them like I wanted when I was young. Invisalign provides you with 20 sets of clear aligners that work like braces. I have heard some people saying that invisalign doesn't work very well. So far they are okay. It only hurts for 2 days when I switch my aligners every two weeks. I must remove them when I eat and then brush my teeth before i put them back on. So, I have cut down on my snacking between meals, which is good and bad. Good, because I need to cut down on snacking, and bad because I miss snacking. The upside to invisalign is that you can barely tell they are there, except for a small lisp that I now have. You also only have to wear them for about a year, opposed to traditional braces which are usually worn for 2 years or more, I have heard. At least I will finally have straight teeth.
