Down on the Farm

Baz and I went with his school on a field trip to the Underwood Family Farm today. It is such a great place to take kids. We took a tractor ride around the fields, got lost in a corn maze and fed some stinky animals. And they have this really neat goat walk type thing (see below). Watch out for falling goats!

Oktoberfest

We went to two local carnivals last weekend. Ya know, the small, over crowded, over priced deals set up in a park baseball diamond. Such a deal at about $4 a ride per person. Ya right! It is still a lot of fun. Baz enjoys the lights and excitement, and I enjoy the fresh air and occosional $3 beer.

Vegas Baby!

What happened in Vegas doesn't have to stay in Vegas. We had some great, exciting, family oriented fun in Vegas last weekend. We saw Goerge Lopez and I nearly killed myself laughing. We enjoyed a neck aching show at Fremont Street...

Art and Baz were enslaved by Aliens at Quarks Bar and Restaurant...

We had lunch with blue women and borgs ...
Up 108 floors at the top of the Stratosphere Hotel...
Trying not to get dizzy...

Breaking the law by having a child in the casino.

Enjoying an indoor gondola ride, gondolier and serenade included.

Here we saw an attempted suicide by the people crazy enough to ride Insanity!

55 Flash Fiction Friday

We are going to Vegas this weekend. So I am doing my 55 early.

Ode To Vegas:
Twinkling lights as far as one can see. Slot machines for miles to eat up all my money. Showgirls and acts to entertain me endlessly. Rollercoasters and rides in the sky to make me queesy. Dolphins, animals, flamingos and tigers, wax figures of Angelina Jolie. Have as much fun as I can in Sin City.

Planning on riding some coasters.
And playing some slots.

My Fav Las Vegas movie. My trip won't be anything like theirs though.

55 Flash Fiction Friday

In dedication to breast cancer awareness week. Here is my ode to the booby and a picture of Baz when he used to feed off of them. It actually only 33 words not 55, but there isn't much I can say that won't sound too gross.

Ode to the booby:
Life giving milk so warm and so sweet. To feed the young ones to grow big and strong. A bonding experience so loving. A treasured experience that wont last too long. Milk!
